Virtuosi Racing have today announced that Jack Doohan and Marino Sato will be competing for the team in the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship.
18-year-old Jack Doohan is the son of legendary five-time 500cc (now MotoGP) World Champion, Mick Doohan, and joins the Virtuosi Racing team on the back of a successful season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
Winning four races and taking a further three podiums from seven rounds, Doohan finished as the Formula 3 Vice-Champion, narrowly missing out on the title, while leading his team to F3 Teams’ Championship success.
2022 will be the Australian’s first full year in F2, having taken part in the final two rounds of 2021.
Jack Doohan said: "Very pleased and excited to join forces with Virtuosi Racing for our 2022 Formula 2 Campaign. I’m looking forward to continuing the teams success and getting to work with the team in post season testing this coming week!"
