Doohan P6 in Euroformula Rookie Championship

Jack Doohan has finished P10 in Race 17 at the final Round of the Euroformula Championship in Monza, Italy over the weekend.

Race 18 – Position 10

Doohan qualified P10 for the first Race in Monza, but was edged back one place on the opening lap into P11.

The Australian quickly broke back into the top 10, although ran straight on at the Rettifilo Chicane at the beginning of lap 2 to slip from P9 to P12.

Although dropping to P13 on lap 9, Doohan was able to battle back well during the latter stages of the 16 lap encounter and in doing so, climbed to finish P10 overall. 


Race 19 – Position NC

Doohan produced an eye-catching performance in Qualifying P5 on Sunday, only missing pole by 0.5 seconds.

While running in P5 on lap 9 of the race, Doohan was pitched into a very nasty barrel roll after Christian Hahn’s car speared across the track, having a split second earlier run wide.

Fortunately, Doohan emerged from the wreck unscathed. Doohan had previously dropped from 7th in the Euroformula Championship to 11th since missing Round 7 and finished there following his unlucky weekend in Monza at the season finale and also finished 6th in the Rookie Standings.
